This is a replacement part, chrome plastic D shape type lamp. As fitted to many cars in the 1960s, the mini usually had two of these in black on the rear number plate. Usually seen on Mk1 & Mk2 minis, also the van and estate. Related product: 83H335 Black plastic type.
