It is very important to replace the followers, also known as valve lifters, when you replace the camshaft even if you cannot see any wear. The dome shape of the bottom of the follower is intended to keep it rotating as it goes up and down. New followers should be used any time a camshaft is replaced or reground. This is the standard follower not the earlier type with the oil hole. Normally requires 8 per engine, this price is for ONE.
