This is the original style of front main (half moon) seal for all transverse engines, it is softer than the original AHU1959 MG Rover solid type seal [no longer being manufactured] and potentially does not have the the same sealing quality as the stiffer type, therefore we do not recommend for use within tuned units especially turbocharged. However it can be fitted to the engine / gearbox whilst in the car.
